Although it may not sound like it, the Murder Room is a comedy, and a fairly outrageous one at that. Newly-weds Edgar and Mavis have an argument, which results in shots being fired, and that’s just the start of a series of baffling events, involving a dead cat, a mug of cocoa, a secret staircase, a flat down the road, and strangest of all, a police constable who bears a remarkable resemblance to Edgar. The audience will need to keep their wits about them to follow the labyrinthine twists and turns of the plot, but who cares when murder is this funny?
