Back in 1967, the Tremeloes had their greatest hit with a number called 'Silence is Golden' (meaning it is often wiser in life to say nothing). But with the Somerset Fellowship of Drama about to celebrate 50 years of panto mayhem, nothing could be further from the truth - we are looking for the greatest team spirit you can muster.
In just two weeks time, my team of adjudicating wizards will be firing on all cylinders as they travel hundreds of miles on their flying carpets to watch a selection of outstanding performances across the shire of Somerset. We feel certain there will be many 'golden buzzers' this season!
Our co-ordinator, the Golden Goose herself, Pam Price, has been inundated with entries, including new groups and some who are re-joining us after a break. Inevitably, this will be a larger-than-usual contest to mark our important milestone.
We have pulled out all the stops for our awards evening in May 2024. There will be many surprises and feel certain this will be a night to remember.
We are still accepting entries and very much look forward to watching your productions.
