The SFD Training Scheme

The Somerset Fellowship of Drama's mission is to promote theatre throughout the county. In part we do this through a series of competitions but we are also keen to assist societies to train and develop their members. To help us do this, we have a set up a training scheme which is available to all member societies.
The SFD Training Scheme is a scheme to encourage and assist training and development for amateurs who are members of amateur drama groups who are fully paid up members of the SFD. The scheme is intended to improve skills and help development in a wide range of disciplines including performing skills, technical skills, directing skills and other relevant disciplines. The SFD committee will approve an annual budget and the committee will also approve disbursements if they meet the approved criteria.
Rules for qualification:
-
The application must be made by an authorised representative of an SFD member society.
-
The training or development must be open to members of other SFD societies.
-

-

-
Funding from other sources (eg sponsorship or contributions in kind such as free use of facilities) will not necessarily prevent the SFD from contributing.
